New non-drying neutralising blonde shampoo & conditioner

Swedish professional hair care brand, Nine Yards, has launched Silver Linings Blonde Shampoo and True Cool Blonde Conditioner created to neutralise yellow, brassy hues and restore cool blonde tones without drying hair.

Using 100% vegan ingredients, Nine Yards blonde shampoo and conditioner offer a balance between a mild cleanse, silver pigment quantity and nourishing ingredients.

In order for silver shampoos to effectively neutralise yellow tones, the hair cuticle needs to be opened so that the pigments can be absorbed into the hair shaft. The more the cuticles are opened the deeper the pigments penetrate and the more ‘cooling' effect you achieve. However, this causes the hair to release moisture making it dry and brittle.

To combat this, Nine Yards have developed milder surfactants in their new shampoo which avoids opening the cuticles too much stopping the hair from becoming too dry. To balance this, the brand has increased the strength of the pigment to gain effective colour neutralisation.

Nine Yards Silver Linings Blonde Shampoo and True Cool Blonde Conditioner are also formulated with Shea Butter, superfood Broccoli Seed oil, Jasmine flower extract, Green Tea and Aloe Vera to nourish the hair, and can be used as often as every other day.
