Hairdressing charity offers dignity to those living homeless

Volunteer barbers and stylists provided more than 20 free haircuts and simple grooming services at a pop-up salon in Victoria Station, London.
The event was organised by Haircuts4Homeless, the charity that supports those living without a permanent home, and offered a small act of dignity to people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.
Haircuts4Homeless was set up by hairdresser Stewart Roberts, who was inspired by the actions of hairdressers around the world cutting hair for the homeless.
Commenting Stewart Roberts says:
“Homelessness is not just a crisis of housing, it's one of dignity, connection and prevention. By setting up outside a major transport hub, we hope to bring the issue directly into public view, let those affected feel a moment of care, and prompt more action from all of us – citizens, authorities, businesses.”
