Chichester salon supports Neonatal unit

The team from Q Hair & Beauty in Chichester has been fundraising for the Neonatal Unit at St Richard's Hospital in the city.

The salon team contributed towards a £800 fundraising total, supporting the salon's general manager Kain Lawrence and his fiancé Nat, who wanted to give back to the West Sussex hospital unit which cared for their son, Hudson, now two years old, who was born with a health condition (pictured with mum Nat).

During the first lockdown period last year, Kain and Nat walked, ran and cycled through parks and local spaces, racking up 500 miles in just over a month to fundraise their donation.

The money raised by Kain, Nat and the Q Hair & Beauty team for the Neonatal Unit at St Richard's Hospital will go towards providing everything from sets of bedding for the family room, baby bouncers, play-mats, sensory toys and clothing for premature and poorly babies. In addition, two huge hampers of food were donated, meaning families can spend more time with their newborn child.

Local textile artist, Sara Walker, also donated an abstract art wall hanging; Sara and her family have also benefitted from the care of St Richard's.
