Huddersfield salon celebrates 15 years

Concepts Beauty & Wellbeing in Huddersfield is celebrating its 15th anniversary with its most successful year to date after growing turnover more than 30% in the past 12 months.

The salon is marking its anniversary with celebratory events which will include the launch Guinot's new Hydra Peeling Facial, a two-stage peeling treatment which helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles, lines, and increasing skin radiance.

Concepts Beauty & Wellbeing first opened its doors in October 2002 with three members of staff, including therapist Andrea Elston who is still working at the salon a decade and a half later, and has now taken on its 15th team member. Therapist Charlotte Gilchrist joins the team with more than 10 years of experience and will be specialising in hot waxing and Hollywood lashes.

Salon owner and founder Sharon Seymour celebrates with the Concepts Beauty & Wellbeing team.

This month the salon received the Professional Beauty North West Large Salon of the Year Award and has also been shortlisted for the Guinot Salon of Excellence Award alongside the Professional Beauty National Large Salon of the Year Award. The salon's owner and founder Sharon Seymour has also been shortlisted for a Forward Ladies award in the SME Growth category.

Speaking about future plans for the salon, Sharon says:

“Over the next 15 years I plan to build on what the salon has already achieved and continue to grow the business to take it up to capacity in the current premises.

“There is room to grow in terms of expanding both the salon's core team of therapists as well as increasing the number of the salon's associate specialists. In addition, there are opportunities to maximise the revenue achieved through the training room by increasing the number of bookings through third party companies. There is plenty of room for further growth!”
