What's your TwoPointSixChallenge?

You'll have heard about the current trend of the TwoPointSixChallenge raising much needed funds for charities this week, and The Hair & Beauty Charity is urging people in the industry to get involved and select them as their charity.

Organised by the team behind the London Marathon, which was due to take place yesterday, TwoPointSixChallenge invites participants to undertake an activity that combines 2 and 6; the distance of the London Marathon is 26 miles. You could walk or run 2.6 miles or 2.6 kms during your daily exercise allowance, do 26 push-ups a day or do a 26 minute walk around your garden. Alternatively, why not think up a beauty, nails or hair  themed challenge – perhaps you could polish your toe nails or see how much of your head you could shave in 2.6 minutes?

Samantha Grocutt, President of The Hair & Beauty Charity, says:

“Like many charities in the UK, our industry charity is suffering and needs help to raise funds so we can support our current beneficiaries and help the growing number of people contacting us for financial during the global crisis.  This is a great opportunity for everyone around the country to get involved and support a charity that means something to them – I'm hoping that the hair, barbering and beauty industry will take up the TwoPointSixChallenge and support us by getting involved in some fun activities to help raise money for us.”

If you take part in the TwoPointSixChallenge and raise money for The Hair & Beauty Charity, you can donate your fundraising via the charity's JustGiving page.
