Twiqk event focuses on patient safety in aesthetic treatments

Twiqk, the patient safety platform dedicated to supporting honesty and raising standards across aesthetic medicine, has hosted its inaugural Twiqk Preview event at Stationers' Hall in London.

The invitation-only gathering brought together leading clinicians, clinic owners and industry professionals for a programme of expert discussions centred on the future of patient care, innovation and preventative health.

The first panel, The Future of Aesthetic Medicine, was chaired by Professor Dr Patrick Treacy, Chair of the Twiqk Advisory Board. Joining the discussion were Dr Uliana Gout, Dr Anoob Pakkar-Hull and Dr Anna Hemming. Panellists examined how advances in science, emerging technologies and evidence-led practice are shaping aesthetic medicine, while highlighting the importance of patient education, practitioner accountability and access to trusted information.

The second panel, Longevity and Wellness, was moderated by Twiqk Editor Anna Dobbie and featured Dr Rita Rakus, Dr Maryam Zamani, Dr Arash Khademi and Dr Rachna Murthy. The discussion explored the industry's move towards a more holistic model of care, including preventative medicine, restorative treatments, personalised healthcare and lifestyle interventions that support healthy ageing.

Guests also had the opportunity to network in the gardens of Stationers' Hall, with practitioners, clinic owners, brands, sector leaders and media representatives sharing insights and discussing the future of the aesthetics market.
