Scratch Stars entry opens with new global competition unveiled

Scratch magazine has launched two nail competitions for 2023 and inviting techs from across the UK and further afield to take part. Entry is now open for the Scratch Stars Awards 2023 and a new competition, The World's Star Nail Artist (WSNA).

For several years, the annual Scratch Stars Awards have recognised the most exceptional nail talent in the UK. This year, the event also invites entrants from the Republic of Ireland.

For 2023 there are 18 categories covering the full spectrum of skill sets including not just nail talents but also customer service, training and business ethics. Competitors can enter a maximum of two categories.

Entry to the Scratch Stars Awards 2023 is open now until 28th February online at www.scratchmagazine.co.uk/scratchstars.

The new World's Star Nail Artist (WSNA) competition is open to nail techs worldwide with a series of themed challenges over 10 weeks. Entries are submitted online making the event as accessible as possible.

Shortlisted entrants will complete the challenges from April onwards, with one entrant eliminated at the end of each competition. The top three nail artists will be invited to London to compete in a final challenge, with the overall winner announced on 23rd July.

Commenting on the launch of the WSNA competition, Scratch magazine's managing editor, Helena Biggs, says:

“Scratch is delighted to expand its nail competition portfolio with the launch of The World's Star Nail Artist contest. As an organisation, we have been recognising and rewarding nail professionals in the UK&I for 10 years via the annual Scratch Stars Awards event, and now we are excited to add a competition alongside it to champion nail artists on a global level.

A percentage of contest turnover will be donated to Beauty Changes Lives and the Hair & Beauty Charity.

Entry to the World's Star Nail Artist competition, sponsored by CND, is open until 28th February at www.scratchmagazine.co.uk/wsna.
