Talent Incubator supports independent stylists
Leaf Studios has introduced the Talent Incubator, a new model designed to help independent stylists combine the flexibility of self-employment with access to professional support, education and business development opportunities.
Created by Leaf Scissors founder Steve McManus and his wife Jane (pictured), the initiative aims to provide freelance hairdressers with many of the advantages associated with established salon brands while allowing them to retain their independence.
Stylists joining the Talent Incubator will have access to education and training programmes, marketing and content creation support, business development guidance and opportunities to collaborate on brand campaigns with Leaf ambassadors. Members can also showcase their work to the Leaf Scissors and Leaf Studios audience, helping to expand their profile and attract new clients.
Steve and Jane developed the concept based on more than 50 years of combined experience in hairdressing. Having both begun their careers at TONI&GUY, they went on to build careers in hairdressing, education and salon ownership before launching Leaf Scissors in 2019.
Steve McManus explains:

Based at Leaf's new headquarters in Effingham, Surrey, Leaf Studios operates alongside Leaf Scissors as a creative hub where stylists can contribute to product development, collaborations and brand activity.
Applications are now open for stylists interested in joining the Talent Incubator.
