Kate Somerville partners with LCBT for scholarship programme
Aesthetician Kate Somerville is partnering with the London College of Beauty & Therapy to offer funded scholarships for those that have experience of or have left the care system.
Through the partnership, Kate Somerville Skincare will be funding three scholarships for a combined ITEC Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma, for young people aged 19-24, to help them achieve their dream career within the beauty industry. The programme not only includes tuition fees, uniform and materials, the scholars will also benefit from financial support towards travel and lunch, and career advice from the team at Kate Somerville Skincare.
The Kate Somerville Scholarship Programme was founded following Kate's own experiences of growing up in a home impacted by addiction. In college, Kate (pictured) found a mentor who empowered her to believe in herself and her dreams; she now recognises the transformative power a career in the beauty industry had on her life.
