Harrods opens revamped Hair & Beauty Salon
Iconic London department store Harrods has opened the doors of its new Hair and Beauty Salon.
Located on the store's Fifth Floor, the completion of Harrods' Hair & Beauty Salon marks the final phase of the company's beauty business transformation to become one of the world's largest beauty destinations. Led by Director of Beauty Annalise Fard, this includes the makeover of Harrods' Beauty Halls in 2020 which now span across 90,000 sq. ft.
The Hair & Beauty Salon has been completely redesigned by London-based Sparcstudio Design, and pays homage to the Salon's 1982 design, featuring glossy peach marble, cream stone counters and powder-pink walls with gold finishes.
Inspired by traditional Japanese head spa rituals, the Salon's Backwash Room offers guests a rejuvenating facial for the scalp. This is followed by a trip to the Salon's Conditioning Bar, dedicated to offering the latest conditioning and scalp treatments.
The Hairdressing Rotunda, the Salon's dedicated hairstyling space, features new stations that are spaced out in a curved central seating area, emulating the salon's original 1982 design.
In addition, the Harrods Hair & Beauty Salon houses its own Hair Extension Library with an array of colours, lengths, and styles on hand.
Harrods Hair & Beauty Salon also provides access to a carefully curated selection of ‘must-have' beauty products from 43 brands including some Harrods exclusives. Brands stocked include Aromatherapy Associates and Sarah Chapman.
A dedicated Eye Zone offers everything from eyelash extensions to exclusive Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow treatments. The Mini Glow-up upgrade enables clients to add treatments to their lash or brow services, from exclusive Dr Dennis Gross LED light treatments to glow-giving Oxygen Flash Facials, whilst Harrods x Townhouse offers Instagram-worthy manicures.
