Cornwall-based Made for Life Organics has agreed a new partnership with The Academy of Clinical Training to extend Cancer Touch Therapy training into Scotland.

The Cancer Touch Therapy training programme aims to empower therapists with the skills, expertise and knowledge to undertake body and facial treatments for people living with cancer. It is approved by Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care and accredited by the Complementary Medical Association, and was developed with advice from oncology massage teachers, advisors from the oncology team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Emma Williams and Nicci Anstey, Made for Life Organics trainers, will be working alongside the The Academy of Clinical Training in Glasgow to introduce Cancer Touch Therapy courses from February.

Courses will be available onsite as well as in Made for Life Organics into salons and spas across Scotland during 2022.

Commenting on their partnership with Made for Life Organics, Jenny Storey, Director of The Academy of Clinical Training says:

“The Academy and Made for Life Organics have the same beliefs and passion where we truly feel that holistic therapies should be available to anyone diagnosed with the condition. For too long now cancer conditions have been considered as “contraindicated” and therapists have been discouraged from offering treatment, we strive to change these misconceptions and ensure therapists are equipped and prepared to be “inclusive”.”
