Andrew Barton completes Kilimanjaro climb

Celebrity hairdresser and NAK Hair's European Brand Ambassador, Andrew Barton, has successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro, raising more than £100,000 for anti‑bullying charity Kidscape.

Barton reached the 5,895‑metre peak alongside 40 volunteers who endured extreme altitude, freezing night temperatures and intense physical demands to support Kidscape's work with vulnerable children.

For Barton, the challenge was deeply personal. Having experienced severe childhood bullying, he says hairdressing became his first “safe space.” Reflecting on the climb, he shared: “If this challenge helps even one child feel seen and supported, it was worth every step.”

The expedition featured several prominent figures from the hair industry, including hairdresser Daniel Lustig-Webb, Tracey Harris of Racoon International and independent salon owner Amber McKay. They were also joined by TV presenter Anthea Turner.
