Watermans' success recognised with Queens award for business


The founders of hair growth group Watermans have been presented a Queen's Award for International Trade.

Gail and Matt Waterman received the award from His Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Professor Dame Hilary Chapman DBE at the company's offices in Rotherham, Yorkshire. The Queen's Award is an outstanding award for business, and was the last award to be awarded during Queen Elizabeth II's reign. 

The company has a 99% female workforce and is a successful part-owned black business.

Commenting on Watermans' achievement, Professor Dame Hilary Chapman DBE, His Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, says:

“It's incredible to meet the team here at Watermans and present them this prestigious award. Their efforts and their business truly capture what the Queens Award means. This award is much sought-after for high achievers. Watermans have been recognised for being exceptional at International Trade.”

Watermans' founders Matt and Gail Waterman, add:

Watermans was founded in 2012, selling hair growth product Grow Me Shampoo.
