Burgundy colour of the season, say L'Oreal

Beauty giant L'Oréal Paris has revealed their prediction that the beauty and fashion colour of the season will be burgundy on lip, lids and lashes.

Sir John, L'Oréal Paris celebrity makeup artist, says:

"As a makeup artist, I love nothing more than to play with color [sic]. Burgundy is not only right on trend, but also stands the test of time and is totally wearable, which is a great combination."

An alternative to black, brown and deep blue, burgundy cosmetics enable you to add a hint of unexpected colour into a monochrome look.

L'Oréal Paris' prediction comes as they launch their new Voluminous Original Mascara in Deep Burgundy and ahead of last night's Emmy awards.
